Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes monitoring budget and financial operations; forecasting financial trends and activities; providing budgetary briefings to management or senior leaders; and issuing written instructions or Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to the workforce. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Budget Execution Budget Formulation, Justification & Presentation Financial Management Analysis Financial Management Systems Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
Perform a variety of administration and analytical duties related to budget planning within the Defense Health Program.
Plan the development and implementation of methods and procedures for budget formulation.
Utilize multiple databases and financial accounting systems to include the General Fund Enterprise Business Systems (GFEBS) and the Financial Management Information System (FMIS).
Develop and report to higher management estimates of budget requirements.
Responsible for the full component of budgetary processes and procedures related to the Travel/Training Program.
Develop and issue written instructions and standard operating procedures and ensures compliance of subordinate Military Treatment Facilities (MTF).
