About the Position: Serve as full-service realty specialist responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating program control operations which include personally accomplishing real property acquisitions, management, and disposals. Real estate related personal property disposals and restoration inspections related to disposals or terminations for the Department of the Army (military and civil works) and of the Air Force in Hawaii.

Specialized Experience: One-year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 : 4 out of the 6 - 1) Acquiring real property rights in fee or by lease; 2) Knowledge of Hawaiian Land laws including Land Court and regular recording systems, 3) Preparing and programing budget estimates and exercising cost control functions, 4) Knowledgeable of out-granting regulations and policies, 5) Disposing of real property, 6) Transfer of properties to other government agencies, and 6) Conducting condition and inventory inspections of real property. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Planning and Evaluating Problem Solving Real Estate Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
Responsible for managing and accomplishing real property acquisitions, management, and disposals in the Honolulu District Area of Responsibility
Provides recommendations to the District Chief Real Estate to acquire fee simple title, easements, leases, licenses, permits, and other interests or rights in land and/or improvements, or space, by direct purchase;
lease, license, condemnation, exchange, donation, or transfer from other Government agencies, including permits for temporary use.
Prepares budget data and exercise of cost control functions, maintenance of records and historical data pertaining to all functions of the team.
Disposes real estate interests acquired in fee, by permits, licenses, leases, and easements which have been declared as excess by Department of the Army (DA), by Department of the Air Force (DAF), by Civil Works Branch or by the recruiting commands.
Directs the real estate outgrant and compliance inspection program together with the utilization inspection program for military recruiting facilities.
Develops and implements plans and programs for disposal of real and related personal property determined as excess including termination of leases for military recruiting stations.
