To qualify at the GS-07 grade level, applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Specialized experience must include the following: Developing administrative procedures, instructions, and internal controls (e.g., tracking systems); Analyzing records to identify productivity trends and/or training needs of staff members; Performing on a regular and recurring basis using automated information systems; Reviewing/editing correspondence; Maintaining a filing system. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. NOTE: Education can not be substituted for experience at this grade level. You will serve as an Administrative Support Assistant (OA) and be responsible for this position is to provide administrative support and processing, database management, spreadsheet, electronic mail, electronic calendar, and other types of office automation software tools. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Managing the civilian employee leave program. Providing electronic timekeeping services to RDC and tenant command civilian employees. Maintaining the RDC SOP's to align with corresponding regulation and changes to RDC internal policies and procedures providing administrative support to RDC travel services, i.e. travel orders, travel claims and travel cards. Interfacing with and support appropriate RDC staff and management to ensure the RDC management project information database contains complete and up-to-date info. Providing administrative support to the RDC ePerformance management Providing other general administrative services to include activities such as prepare and process general correspondence.
