Job Description:
You will serve as an ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Auxiliary Systems (Shop 38A), Mechanical Division (TRF-320), Repair Department (TRF-300), TRIDENT Refit Facility (TRIFEFFAC), Kings Bay, GA of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience providing engineering analysis, design, installation, testing and evaluation of submarine machinery including diesel engines. Experience utilizing submarine diesel engine theory, operation, construction, maintenance overhaul and repair. Experience providing immediate authoritative assistance on urgent mission-degrading problems beyond the capability of the forces afloat. Experience providing authoritative technical and engineering guidance for repair efforts. You will provide expertise as a Senior Technician on submarine machinery, systems and equipment including diesel engines.
You will plan and execute tests and evaluations, review and develop solutions for submarine diesel engines problems, coordinate modifications engineering programs, and provide advice and consultation on various submarine diesel engine matters.
You will provide authoritative technical/engineering guidance for I-Level repair effort including repair procedure review for technical accuracy, repair quality, repair personnel in system repair, system troubleshooting, system assessment, and PMS.
You will resolve complex problems with submarine diesel engines.
You will provide expertise with submarine diesel engine theory, operation, construction, maintenance, overhaul, and repair.
