Job Description:

You will serve as a Technical Project Manager in the Acquisition and Readiness Assessment Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV. The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Although we are moving forward with the consideration of candidates, we will not make a selection for this vacancy announcement unless and until the position is no longer subject to the hiring freeze.
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional Engineer or Scientist coordinating weapon systems engineering projects to develop strategies, provide technical oversight, and assess weapon system reliability and readiness for a warfare program. You will serve as the Weapons Readiness Assessment Advocate and Lead Subject Matter Expert for technical oversight of material readiness assessment of Navy weapons systems.
You will provide oversight of engineers covering various surface to air missile systems and advanced analytics.
You will develop, maintain, and improve fleet readiness products that deliver insight and knowledge regarding weapons system reliability, trends and drivers, and the impact of those systems to current fleet operations.
You will formulate advanced analytics strategies, develop objectives, set priorities, and lead technical work teams to evolve or develop analysis processes and assessment products.
You will lead reliability and assessment working groups and product innovation teams for weapons specific products within the missile community.
You will serve as a coach and mentor to weapons analysts.
