GS-05: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-04) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: serving as a Firefighter responding to fires, hazardous material emergencies and administering emergency care. GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: serving as a Firefighter providing emergency medical treatment to include but not limited to cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and rescue of patients in confined spaces and auto extrications; structural firefighting operations; responding to hazardous material emergency operations. You will be serve as a firefighter performing augmented skills of a credentialed Emergency Medical Technician (Basic) and Hazardous Materials Technician.
You will be responsible for inspecting structures and hazardous areas for compliance with Marine Corps Orders, Base Orders on fire regulations and National Fire Codes.
You will respond to any release of hazardous materials, munitions, and fires at various storage sites, in vehicles or vessels used to transport these materials.
You will perform offensive and defensive firefighting operations on incidents involving structures, aircrafts, and wild land fire settings.
You will respond to medical emergencies to provide for the rescue and on scene stabilization for victims of fire, sudden illness, accidental injuries, childbirth, and other events requiring medical personnel.
