The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision; Perform maintenance, repair, analyze, and install high pressure boiler systems; read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manufacturer specifications and other technical material needed in the repair of electrostatic precipitators. You will maintain and repair boilers and steam generation equipment and auxiliary units such as: air heaters, deaerators, and oil heaters.
You will will perform maintenance and repair on pulverizers, coal and ashy conveying systems, induced and forced draft fans, coal scales and feeders, and all types of fuel oil burning systems.
You will perform maintenance and repair on electrostatic precipitators and other pollution abatement equipment.
You will perform major repairs on precipitators such as removing large sections of casing with cutting torches and removing sections of plates and electrodes.
You will install and pair complete steam , water, fuel, condensate and blowdown systems, using welding equipment, pipe fitting tools, and pipe threading machines.
