Job Description:

You will serve as a VISUAL INFORMATION SPECIALIST in the COMBAT DEVELOPMENT AND INTEGRATION (CD&I) of MARINE CORPS COMBAT DEVELOPMENT CMD. The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Although we are moving forward with the consideration of candidates, we will not make a selection for this vacancy announcement unless and until the position is no longer subject to the hiring freeze.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning, directing graphics, reprographics, imagery projects/programs to include oversight of military and civilian personnel AND serve as a technical multimedia expert and adviser and manage the production of audiovisual material. You will oversee the complete processing of multiple types of products simultaneously through the post-production printing and electronic publishing cycle.
You will be responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing a comprehensive internet/visual information program.
You will make decisions on how best to portray the information and transform vague ideas into an understandable visual product.
You will maintain a website that reinforces collaboration, data sharing, and provides a platform for customers to access expertise, anytime and anywhere, irrespective of geographical limitations.
You will maintain multimedia hardware and software and will be expected to research, evaluate and acquire both existing and emerging multimedia hardware and software that will enable publishing of cost effective products.
You will coordinate contracting support and direct voiceover recording sessions at a recording studio and develop training plans for production assistants in order to attain and maintain high standards of performance.
