Job Description:

You will serve as an Equipment Specialist in the Utilities Division of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND HAWAII.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing support to a production/maintenance unit by interpreting and communicating guidance related to utility equipment operation, utilization, and repair; 2) Assisting with coordinating and documenting inspections of utility systems and equipment to assess its functionality and recommend any needed repairs; and 3) Assisting with forecasting spare parts requirements in order to prevent and reduce equipment failure and down-time. You will supply technical information on equipment issues or influence decision making that support operations.
You will collect and maintain a variety of data on serviced and assigned production activities.
You will analyze stem issues to develop evaluation reports.
You will analyze maintenance problems and deficiencies to recommend solutions.
You will advise others on methods of resolving troubleshooting problems, repairing difficult system malfunctions, research and analysis, and resolving equipment problems for accuracy and functionality.
