We are seeking an experienced Assistant Vice President, Software Engineer in the Operations and Technology Group to support Liquidity Risk Management projects and business-as-usual (BAU) efforts. This role requires effective communication between IT and business teams, as well as the ability to deliver results while adopting agile methodologies. Designs develop and maintain the Liquidity Data & Reporting technology infrastructure as technical lead for system development initiatives. Must have development experience in a leadership capacity assigning and managing work effort. Engages in the overall health of the Liquidity Risk systems, including system performance monitoring, maintenance, security, secure code practices, audit support and vulnerabilities remediation, and DR collaboration. Technology liaison with business stakeholders collaborating with cross-functional teams. Thrives in a dynamic work environment with demonstrated ability to adapt to change. Job Duties Develop and maintain a deep understanding of data & reporting needs for US Regulatory Reports (FR 2052a, Liquidity Stress Testing, Cashflow Forecasting etc.), General Ledger, and other related areas and lead software engineering teams to deliver quality solutions Align technology goals with business objectives in collaboration with senior management and engage in the overall health of the Liquidity Risk systems, including system performance monitoring, maintenance, security, secure code practices, audit support and remediation, and DR collaboration Engage with business stakeholders to solicit and manage requests that balance competing priorities across business teams. Oversee software project planning, execution, and delivery. Communicating with project stakeholders to collect requirements, identify tasks, provide estimates and meets production deadlines Visualize dependencies across programs, projects, and BAU work, and applications – understand relationships and optimize delivery. Lead the initial discovery process for prioritized scope of work by uncovering high-level business requirements. Develop a deep understanding of upstream dependencies / origins of data products and generate meaningful data-driven insights Identify and mitigate software development risks and ensure system regulatory and policy compliance. Promote innovation and continuous improvement. Required Skills: Must have proficiency in SQL, Handling Files using Python, expertise in reporting and visualization tools such as Tableau, OBIEE. 5+ years of software product development experience and 3+ years of Technical Lead/Project Lead experience Must have 5+ Years of Experience working in Finance/Banking domain Must have development experience in a leadership capacity assigning and managing work effort. Must have familiarity with Data Integration/ETL tools. Must have strong understanding and hands-on experience with Oracle databases. Must have experience in Data analysis, including creating complex SQL queries, expertise in Tableau and reporting tools such as OBIEE Must have experience in Data warehousing and/or Data Lakes, and Data Marts. Working knowledge of 3NF data models, dimensional data models, etc. Must have experience with data models associated with financial data domains. Experience in Oracle’s OFSAA LRM application and understanding of frameworks such as UMM, Run Rule, Batch Operations, Data Management is a plus Mastery of modern agile software methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and planning tools (e.g. JIRA), Confluence, MS Office Experience with GL and other reconciliations. Strong system security experience in system vulnerability and end of life management Proven track record of success managing development teams in high-functioning continuous delivery environment that supports outcomes for the business. Good understanding of modern API design patterns with 5+ years of experience working with modern web language/frameworks such as JavaScript, Django, Angular, Spring , RESTful API Development. Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective client interaction at all levels. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience Work Location(s): As per MUFG’s Return to Office policy, must work onsite for 4 days per week & 1 day remote out of our Jersey City, NJ office – 210 Hudson Street. The typical base pay range for this role is between $100K - $150K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
