Opportunity

for sustaining nature preserves? If so, the position of Eagle Valley Preserve
Worker may be the perfect opportunity for you!
As an Eagle Valley Preserve Worker you will be
responsible for:
Landscape
and trail construction and maintenance, including mowing, trimming,
weeding, pruning, mulching, soil preparation, tree/shrub planting or
removal, leaf and debris removal.
Building
maintenance and improvement, including cleaning, maintaining an attractive
appearance of building exterior and interior by painting or minor
carpentry.
Perform
the safe use of 4x4 pick-ups, ATVs, UTVs, Bobcat, mowers, chainsaws, brush
cutters, and a variety of hand tools, and the appropriate maintenance of
the above, and minor repairs.
Property
management including patrolling property during hunting seasons to deter
trespass and maintain an undisturbed preserve, posting and/or fencing
boundaries, litter removal, roadside cleanup and vegetation management.
Firewood
production: cutting, splitting, and stacking.
Habitat
restoration and management including prescribed burns and installing fire
breaks, noxious weed control by herbicide or mechanical means, native seed
collection and planting, brush/tree removal.
Assist
with wildlife research projects performing a variety of population surveys
and/or behavioral studies.
Observe
all written standard operating procedures to provide a safe working
environment for self, other associates, guests and the general public.
Perform
any other work assigned by Manager relating to Eagle Valley Nature
Preserve, often without direct supervision.
This is a full-time position working Monday -Thursday 10 Hour days.
