Job Description:

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is located within Winn Army Community Hospital, Fort Stewart, GA. This is an open continuous announcement. Multiple vacancies exist and may be filled at any of the locations listed. Resumes will be reviewed and referred on or around the 10th of each month.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Basic Requirement for Clinical Psychologist: Degree: Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology. (You MUST submit a copy of your transcript with your application package or you will be rated ineligible.) In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting behavioral health assessments; providing individual and group treatment; and working as part of a multidisciplinary team. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). AND License: The Clinical Psychologist position requires a current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently, offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, commonwealth, territory or jurisdiction. (NOTE: You must provide a copy of your license with your application package.)
Apply biopsychosocial evaluations to propose behavioral health interventions.
Provide evidence-based treatment, including behavioral, cognitive, and motivational approaches.
Provide regular and concise feedback on the status of referred patients to include recommendations for team-based care.
Implement psychoeducational classes to target high frequency diagnoses found in an outpatient behavioral health clinic.
Document information in the electronic health record during patient encounters.
