About the Position: This position is located at Reynolds Army Health Center in Fort Sill, Oklahoma. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. This is an open continuous announcement. Basic Requirement for Pharmacist: Degree: Completion of a doctoral degree in Pharmacy that is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (external link) (ACPE) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (external link) at the time the degree was obtained. NOTE: You MUST submit a copy of your transcript with your application package Exemption: You are exempt from the basic requirements above if you are a current federal employee occupying a position in the 0660 occupational series and have been continuously employed in this occupational series since September 27, 2017 or before. Note: You will be required to provide appropriate documentation to the respective Human Resources Office to validate your status. AND License: Possess licensure to practice pharmacy in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: is defined as: at least one year of professional pharmacy experience which includes dispensing medication and preparing pharmaceuticals in a Medical Facility. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Responsible for the clinical pharmacy functions of the military treatment facility (MTF).
Monitor the dispensing of all pharmaceuticals in the MTF and allied facilities.
Develop, with the attending physician, pharmacotherapeutic regimens for especially difficult or complex cases.
Prepare and conduct or oversee training of physicians, pharmacists, and other health care providers on the use of drugs and other pharmaceuticals.
Prepare and dispense prescriptions to inpatient and outpatients.
