Basic Requirement for Pharmacist: Degree: Completion of a doctoral degree in Pharmacy that is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (external link) (ACPE) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (external link) at the time the degree was obtained. NOTE: You MUST submit a copy of your transcript with your application package Exemption: You are exempt from the basic requirements above if you are a current federal employee occupying a position in the 0660 occupational series and have been continuously employed in this occupational series since September 27, 2017 or before. Responsible for the clinical pharmacy functions of the military treatment facility (MTF).
Monitor the dispensing of all pharmaceuticals in the MTF and allied facilities.
Develop, with the attending physician, pharmacotherapeutic regimens for especially difficult or complex cases.
Prepare and conduct or oversee training of physicians, pharmacists, and other health care providers on the use of drugs and other pharmaceuticals.
Prepare and dispense prescriptions to inpatient and outpatients.
