Support the Military's Quality of Life programs! The Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) department of Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) provides fitness, recreation, lodging and food and beverage programs for service members, their families, retired military & civilian employees. Incumbent will perform a variety of duties connected with providing accommodations for guests at Jim Creek which is a regional outdoor recreation area cabins, campsites, picnicking and related activities.
Must be a responsible individual with a pleasant, courteous attitude who can communicate effectively with public Must be capable of collecting and accurately recording cash transactions, and operating a cash register Must be familiar with the general use of the materials and equipment related to the respective type activity Can include nights, weekends and holidays
Provides accommodations for guests at Jim Creek which is a regional outdoor recreation area providing lodging, cabins, campsites, picnicking and related activities. Serves as a collection agent who collects fees from customers associated with retail, rental items, classes and various other programs Report any damages on equipments, requisition merchandise, ensures adequate stock levels to Supervisor Answers telephones, provides information and tours of facilities and handling of reservations Prepare mess items or snack bar menu items or pre-packaged retail items, ordering supplies, opening and closing of facility, checking badges for authorized users of recreation facilities and equipment. Assists in administering traditional and non-traditional workshops, clinics and events in a variety of outdoor skills areas including but not limited to camping, cycling, sailing, backpacking, canoeing, snow skiing, hiking or water sports.
