THIS IS A TITLE 32 DUAL STATUS POSITION DUTY LOCATION: Theater Aviation Sustainment Maintenance Group (TASMG), Groton, CT AREA(S) OF CONSIDERATION: Area 1: All currently employed full-time permanent and indefinite personnel of the Connecticut Army National Guard. Area 2: All currently employed full-time temporary technician personnel and all current traditional members of the Connecticut Army National Guard.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume and any other supporting documentation you wish to provide must clearly substantiate you currently possess 36 months of specialized experience in the following: Experience, education, or training supervising and/or managing supply personnel and a variety of supply functions. Experience demonstrating knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system. Experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues. Experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of budget management, controls and principles. Knowledge of NGB/ATCOM budget formulation and execution of policies and procedures sufficient to manage an SFDLR plan for an assigned system. Knowledge of Supply Management Logistics, Aviation Maintenance, and the SFDLR program concepts and policies as they relate to assigned systems and equipment. Knowledge and skill necessary to develop and manage SFDLR requirements at a major system or Command. Knowledge of the interrelationships between the SFDLR requirements of individual subsystems is required to determine how they affect the system for Command level SFDLR planning requirements. Knowledge of the principles and program requirements to independently apply SFDLR policy necessary to direct the work of a major activity, complex system-level acquisition or modernization project. COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENT: All applications will be considered regardless of Branch/AOC/FA/MOS. Incumbent will be required to be assigned to compatible military position within 1 year of selection. The selected individual may be required to attend formal technician school training. MILITARY GRADE (Prior to Application): Warrant: WO1 through CW4 UNIT OF ASSIGNMENT: Any aviation unit within state SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a security clearance (secret) which the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment. CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT: Training at the National Guard Professional Education Center (NGPEC) is a mandatory condition of employment, subject to availability of resources. NGB prescribed courses at NGPEC must be completed within 6 months of assignment to this position. Failure to complete course(s) may result in reassignment or termination of full-time employment unless extenuating circumstances preclude course attendance.
JOB SUMMARY: The purpose of this position is to develop, formulate, and implement the plans, programs and policies necessary for the operation, management and administration of the logistical functional areas to include supply and storage management, property and equipment management, and stock control to support the aviation activities of 10-15 states. NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the Connecticut Army National Guard. The major duties include, but are not limited to: Plans, organizes and directs the logistics services in the AVCRAD of such programs as the Authorized Stockage List (ASL) , and the Stock Funded Depot Level Repairables (SFDLR) program, Aircraft Intensive Management Items - Repairable Management(RM), Special Projects, Technical Supply Management and the Transportation programs. Reviews and analyzes proposed regional support plans to ensure proper preparation, development and application of NGB,ATCOM and higher authority policies and procedures are met. Prepares, submits and monitors SFDLR budget for systems and equipment. Manages, monitors, and coordinates the execution of SFDLR Program. Assesses program documentation and system equipment design for logistics considerations.
