This position is located in Glacier National Park, in the Facility Management Division.

Serve as the second operator to a lead operator over an entire wastewater treatment facility or plant within the NPS that completes wastewater treatment processes to remove nitrogen, phosphorous, soluble chemicals, and grease & oils to meet discharge permit requirements. Serve as the second operator to a lead operator over an entire water treatment facility or plant within the NPS that completes surface water treatment filtration processes to lake or spring water that involve non-filtration as well as additional filtration processes. Serve as a second Quality Assurance Officer over a certified water/wastewater treatment laboratory, with responsibility for auditing and reporting on laboratory compliance. Serve as a second Laboratory Manager over a certified water/wastewater treatment laboratory, with responsibility for ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements for testing, reporting, auditing, and certification. This is a Career-Seasonal position and subject to release and recall procedures. A permanent career-seasonal position includes all the benefits of permanent employment, but does not provide employment on a full year-round basis. As such, selectee will be in a non-pay/non-duty status for at least 2 weeks to 6 months per year based on project requirements or weather conditions. Selectee are guaranteed to work at least 6 months per year but not more than 50 weeks per year, with the work schedule to be determined upon appointment. The typical season for Glacier National Park is March 23rd through end of February, but can be variable during these months due to project requirements or weather conditions.
