Job Description:
You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST for the Director, Maritime Headquarters, Communications and Information Systems of COMMANDER US PACIFIC FLEET. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing or evaluating programs (e.g. information systems hardware tracking, Defense Travel Systems, etc.) while performing executive assistant duties to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of an Agency's objectives. You will serve as the Functional Program manager for PACFLT's IT Inventory Tracking System, supporting the N6 objective of maintaining internal control and accountability of IT resources as required by SECNAVINST and COMPACFLT Instruction.
You will manage the accountability of non-NMCI and non-One-Net automated information systems hardware; tracking COMPACFLT AOR and Staff compliancy via semi-annual inventory reporting of IT assets, maintain RITA application requests and morel.
You will review incoming official correspondence on all administrative, personnel, and protocol matters affecting Fleet C41/IT program.
You will review incoming official correspondence for the Executive Director, such as requests for meetings, visits, speaking engagements, requests for official views/comments and more.
You will maintain a file of correspondence and actions to review upon return when Executive Director is out.
You will oversee communication connectivity and testing/rehearsing regular and secure video teleconference equipment and telephonic calls, (noon-secure) STE III, etc).
You will assist with Executive Director's travel engagements by coordinating with appropriate foreign and domestic government offices to be visited, insert all travel into DTS for SES digital signature and process necessary paperwork for approval.
You will manage the Executive Director's daily and long-range calendar of appointments, conferences and meetings, apportioning time based on knowledge of the Commander and other senior leader's short and long range calendars.
You will manage the Directorate's OPTAR and TADTAR budget allocations to include development of requirements and tracking annual spend plan.
