Job Description:

You will serve as a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (INFORMATION SECURITY in the Communications and Information Systems Directorate of COMMANDER US PACIFIC FLEET.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying information systems security principles and methods to identify and analyze security requirements and maintain and enforce compliance requirements and directives; evaluate security posture and coordinate or monitor mitigation steps and provide recommendations on security posture improvements. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. You will serve as the COMPACFLT Fleet Information System Security Officer (ISSO) with responsibility to ensure compliance with DoD, DON and COMPACFLT Cyber Security guidance for COMPACFLT subordinate echelon Ill and direct reporting commands.
You will coordinate efforts for subordinate/reporting commands and act as a liaison between the COMPACFLT Fleet Information System Security Manager (ISSM) and subordinate command ISSMs and lSSOs.
You will provide direction and guidance for network incident handling, vulnerability management, cyber security workforce management, TASKORD compliance, media destruction, configuration management, access management, and cyber inspections.
You will coordinate responses to network incidents and Cyber Scorecard inputs and submissions
You will determine appropriate responses to EXORDS/TASKORDs and engage with subordinated ISSMs/lSSOs to ensure compliance actions are understood and undertaken.
You will provide technical expertise and guidance to team members on all matters related to Information Assurance.
You will ensure necessary dependencies are identified and accounted for in planning and execution phases of cyber security evolutions.
You will conduct site validations to ensure system compliance and readiness
