THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number NGD0878P01 and is part of the TN ARMY Army National Guard. This vacancy is covered by Association of Civilian Technicians (ACT), Chapter 103 (Volunteer Chapter).
Military Grades: O-2 through O-3 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered. Knowledge of basic or commonly applied rules, procedures, or operations such as, filling out, posting, filing, controlling, or coding documents and/or transactions. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 36 months experience or 1-year specialized experience to at least the next lower grade level supervising and/or managing supply personnel and a variety of supply functions. Knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system. Experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues. Experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions.
As a SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST-TITLE 32, GS-2003-11, you will plan, organize and manage supply and services functions to include command equipment/property readiness/accountability management. Formulate and implement command supply operating procedures and policies. Ensure unit responsibilities for receipting and accounting of equipment and supplies are met. Develop and manage state logistics contingency stockage plan and coordinate the plan with USPFO. Direct loan of equipment between units. Advise DOL Logistics Management Officer on command supply and services status and recommend support required for operations. Develop, implement and evaluate the Command Supply Discipline Program. Provide guidance on interpretation of directives and assist units in supply and services matters. Conduct assessment of EOH and direct equipment redistribution based on EOH policy. Direct actions to improve supply conditions, practices and policy in the command. Provide management oversight responsibility for the Financial Liability Investigation of Property Lost Program reporting. Receive fiscal information from subordinate functions to prepare and review budget estimates. Prepare, review and verify command supply and services reports. Monitor required unit equipment inventories and is active in the development, scheduling and execution of special command physical inventories. Processes Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss in accordance with applicable regulations. Monitor unit DODAAC submissions. Perform other duties as assigned.
