Job Description:
You will serve as a FIRES AND EFFECTS PLANNER in the Joint Fires Center, Director Maritime Operations of OPERATIONAL SUPPORT FACILITY.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: advising on fires and effect plans (lethal and non-lethal) and maritime strike related to the operational employment of military forces in a multi threat environment. You will plan, coordinate, integrate and synchronize lethal and nonlethal joint effects with both maritime and other service components staffs.
You will work with higher and subordinate headquarters staffs.
You will resolve conflicts, adjust control measures, or relay component/maneuver unit’s adjustments to adjacent, supported, or supporting units.
You will participate in and provide fires and effects inputs to planning conferences, summits, and seminars as required.
You will develop long-range plans identifying critical support areas, resources and their availability, time requirements and priorities.
You will provide advice, guidance and counsel to the staff in the performance of projects based on a broad understanding and mastery of joint and maritime fires, strategic policies, operations, plans and capabilities.
