Job Description:

You will serve as a Supervisory Food Services Specialist in the Commandant Cost Center of the UNITED STATES NAVAL ACADEMY.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing budget in excess of $32M; 2) Budgeting, accounting, planning meal rotations, and supervising a blended military, civilian, and contractor workforce; 3) Working with contracts and contract workers, and understand federal contract administration; 4) Utilizing dietary concerns and sanitation; 5) Establishing food service principles linked to budget preparation; 6) Appling industrial food services program goals; and 7) Managing inventory to include generating orders, receiving, inspecting, and storing subsistence items, industrial equipment, and supplies. You will request, receive, issue, store, or preserve food items for a food service organization.
You will run and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the Midshipmen Food Service Program, Division, and operations. This food service operation is responsible for feeding 3 square meals to 4,500 students each day.
You will analyze direct and indirect costs in the preparation of an annual food service budget submission that exceeds $32 Million per annum.
You will supervise approximately 75 military, federal civilian, and federal contract personnel in the execution of their daily duties through subordinate supervisors and leaders.
You will manage civilian performance management for civilian workers.
You will ensure safety and sanitation standards are maintained in an industrial food service environment.
