Job Description:

You will serve as an Electronics Measurement Equipment Mechanic in the Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Detachment, Avionics Division, Field Calibration Activity of FLTREADCEN WEST. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.

You will perform calibration, maintenance and repair tasks on precision measurement equipment to maintain accuracy and reliability.
You will ensure all of the integrated components of the various sub-systems are operating properly within established tolerances.
You will determine causes of malfunctions, perform point to point electronic tests to isolate defective section, circuit and component.
You will repair equipment by correct adjustment or replacement of defective parts, re-soldering or cleaning as appropriate.
You will research applicable technical publications to determine normal operating parameters and plan and complete the calibration process.
