You will serve as an Industrial Equipment Mechanic in the Paint Shop (71A), Waterfront Services Division (TRF-340), Repair Department (TRF-300) of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.

Ability to evaluate and determine the nature and extent of repairs necessary and make needed repairs by replacing, reworking, or refinishing worn or damaged parts and components. Ability to accomplish and install, replace, adjust, and set various regulating or safety devices such as meters, gauges, governors, and automatic alarms. Ability to accomplish and dismantle, move, and relocate various types of industrial plant machinery and equipment or install new machinery and equipment. Ability to accomplish and apply various protective, decorative, and functional paints, coatings, and films using brushes, rollers, conventional and airless paint sprayers, dipping, and other related methods and techniques. Ability to accomplish and possess knowledge of equipment/tank cleaning work practices, including those required to provide for neat, clean, safe, and orderly maintenance of the work area. You will provide tank/component cleaning, brush and spray painting, sandblasting, power coating, for corrosion control and SUBSAFE valve repair.
You will assist higher grade mechanics on assignments involving major systems or machinery of greater complexity by assembling and disassembling simpler components.
You will reassemble and install, replace, adjust and set various regulating or safety devices such as meters, gauges, governors and automatic alarms.
You will dismantle, move and relocate various types of industrial plant machinery and equipment or install new machinery and equipment.
You will apply paint/coating substances to a variety of surfaces such as: ferrous and non-ferrous metals in tanks, on hull, shaft screw, machinery, electrical panels and bilges.
You will utilize electric and magnetic thickness measuring gauges and wet film gauges during painting operations.
