Job Description:
You will serve as the PACIFIC FLEET TRAINING SUPPORT VESSEL DIRECTOR in the PACIFIC FLEET TRAINING SUPPORT SQUADRON of PACIFIC TRAINING SUPPORT VESSEL.
GS-15: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-14) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning, coordinating, and executing Naval training operations by reviewing projects or studies to determine resource allocation and training strategy changes in order to develop recommendations for administrative or programmatic modifications in support of fleet training initiatives. You will oversee all aspects of the Pacific Fleet Training Support Program from a material and administrative standpoint
You will recommend changes to current Fleet training policy and processes to ensure responsiveness to changes in naval strategy and tactics with the intent of remaining in front of the pacing threat.
You will coordinate with other Directors and Deputy Directors on COMPACFLT and other staffs to ensure successful resolution of training strategy and resources tasks or initiatives.
You will identify and promote effectiveness and efficiencies in training resources to include development of recommendations for organizational, manpower, or process changes.
You will coordinate and balance a wide range of fleet training equities, including but not limited to Live Virtual Constructive (LVC), Tactical Training Range System (TTRS), and targets in order to achieve mission success.
You will manage the development of policy changes in response to changes in levels of appropriations or other legislated changes.
You will oversee the overall planning, direction, and timely execution of the Fleet’s training, future strategy, and training innovation programs to include technical innovation.
You will review projects or studies and independently determine the proper scope and direction of the effort.
You will interpret legislation and policy statements then apply that interpretation to the development of future Fleet training strategy, vision, guidance, and technological programmatic planning
