About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the JBER, Aeroclub. This position is also Flexible, meaning you are guaranteed a minimum of 0 hours per week to a maximum of 40 hours per week. Your schedule will depend on needs of the facility.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Applicant must have progressively responsible experience in clerical or office work that provided a thorough knowledge of administrative and safety principles and practices. . Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Knowledge of office automation software (i.e. Word, Excel, etc). Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Typing skills are required. Must possess skill in dealing with the public. Ability to accurately maintain and controls records pertaining to cash handling and NAF accounting regulations. A valid driver's license is required. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (T1) and pre-employment drug test.
Under the supervision of the Aeroclub Manager maintain the Hazard Materials Program and Hazard Waste Program. Serve as a facility manager tasked with the evaluating need for, drafting, and submittal of work orders to ensure all areas of the facility are in safe operating condition. Perform regular internal safety spot inspections to identify issues. Trains staff on safety policies and procedures. Properly documents and files training. Applies knowledge of the organization, its function and regulations to carry out a wide variety of administrative functions related to the organization and its mission. Responsible for meeting suspense deadlines. Composes, updates, and types a wide variety of correspondence from brief verbal or written instructions from the supervisor. Creates and maintains, on a current basis, various official files and other reference materials using the Air Force documentation filing system. Designated Records Custodian (RC). Opens/closes facilities when needed. Selects and sets up proper storage areas for materials within the hangar plan considering size, shape, quantity, use, and possibility of damage, deterioration, and contamination to other items. Performs, documents and tracks OSHA, fire, safety, hazardous communications and facility inspections according to applicable directives and policies. Ensures Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are maintained on all chemical solutions stocked. Ensures physical safeguards, cleanliness and safety standards are maintained within Aeroclub. Promptly takes appropriate action for eliminating adverse conditions affecting the facility. Maybe required to drive a government vehicle. Performs other related duties as assigned.
