Job Description:

You will serve as an INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIST SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the U.S. Fleet Forces Command of COMMANDER US FLEET FORCES COMMAND. The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Although we are moving forward with the consideration of candidates, we will not make a selection for this vacancy announcement unless and until the position is no longer subject to the hiring freeze.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: . -Experience identifying and implementing Cybersecurity changes based on new security technologies and policies as an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM). -Experience conducting threat and vulnerability assessments and reporting threats and technical vulnerabilities. -Experience identifying, analyzing and reporting attempts to gain unauthorized access to information, system failures, or suspected defects which could lead to unauthorized disclosures. -Experience in developing and establishing access control policies covering access to systems only by authorized personnel. You will perform risk assessment analysis for hardware, software, data communications and design countermeasures proposed for or in operation at USFF.
You will identify requirements; plan for, organize and distribute authorized personnel resources.
You will ensure development of organizational work plans, short- and long-range schedules, priorities, work assignments and position structures to effectively, efficiently and economically carry out the work of the organization.
You will implement/manage procedures to ensure compliance with Cyber Security Work Force (CSWF) qualification requirements.
You will develop and maintain the USFF Information Technology (IT) Security Plan and other required cybersecurity documentation.
You will develop and enforce policy and procedures for handling or mitigation of network security incidents.
You will ensure the security of all HQ spaces containing IT infrastructure, network devices and systems are complaint with current policy guidelines and are certified to the appropriate level.
