This position is located in Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve, in the Facilities Management Division. As a Utility Systems Repairer-Operator, you will perform the following duties: Installing, diagnosing, and making repairs on domestic and commercial refrigeration and air conditioning units and systems such as walk-in coolers, refrigerators, evaporative coolers, attic and evaporative fans, and other equipment of comparable complexity. Installing, repairing, and maintaining domestic heating equipment and systems such as oil fueled heaters, hot air furnaces, heating boilers, and other systems and equipment. Servicing mechanical equipment such as valves, compressors, motors, centrifugal, macerator, and air lift pumps, automatic controls such as electrical relays, time delay switches, and pump start-stop switches. Fabricating, installing, modifying, maintaining, and/or repairing electronically controlled industrial equipment such as Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition Systems (SCADA), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), Proportional, Integral, and Derivative Control (PID), Telemetry Systems, Remote Terminal Units (RTU), Transducers, and Software Products.
