This position is part of the Agency Support Operations, Government Publishing Office in Washington, District of Columbia.
To qualify for the Supervisory Supply Management Specialist, PG -2003-14, you must meet the following requirements: Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience at the PG-13 (or equivalent) grade level or higher. Examples of specialized experience includes: managing, coordinating, and implementing functions of supply chain management, such as receiving, inspection, storage, inventory control and distribution, and management of waste and surplus items; coordinating, implementing, and monitoring functions such as program planning, project planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management to meet the needs of the needs of the organization and the agency; Evaluating operational and financial needs for the materials handling equipment fleet, evaluating warehousing and storage requirements to improve the efficiency and accountability of materials and supplies; AND writing standard operating procedures (SOPs), define the scope and purpose, gather information, choose a format, write a draft, review with stakeholders, and then implement and monitor the SOP. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement (05/06/2025) to be considered.
Directs, coordinates, and supervises all components of the Supply Chain Management Division which includes managing and providing oversight of the activities of the Warehouse Operations Branch, Paper Warehouse Section.
Assists in directing, coordinating and supervising components of the Division which includes planning, controlling and overseeing the activities of Supply Chain Management Division.
Assists in managing, coordinating and implementing the functions pertaining to the Agency’s supply chain operation such as receiving, inspection, storage, inventory retrieval and distribution, transportation and management of waste and surplus items.
Assists in providing support to the production operation emphasizing the use of new environmentally preferred materials and technology to improve supply chain processes and procedures.
Assists in developing strategic policies for a lean and efficient operation ensuring the inventory of critical items is adequate.
