Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-2 (GS-11 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer conducting the design, development, test & evaluation, integration, or in-service engineering of varied product lines associated with weapons systems. You will serve as the Lead Engineer and technical program manager.
You will review and assess overall progress and develops solutions for all technical, schedule, and cost issues that arise during the design, development, test and evaluation, production, and operations and sustainment.
You will serve as a recognized expert and adviser to leadership on all aspects in the assigned program area.
You will provide scientific, technical, and professional engineering guidance and acquisition advice.
You will maintain technical expertise through continuing professional education and training, symposiums, and technical liaisons with other appropriate Navy and DoD activities.
You will plan for all aspects of design, development, and test and evaluation in the assigned program area and will be responsible for the overall program plan and budget.
You will plan for all related support needed in the assigned program area, taking into account the complicated equipment, software, and documentation that is required.
You will provide the required data in the assigned program area to the pertinent business managers in support of any actions to justify and defend all programs, plans, and budget to the SSP Board of Directors.
You will coordinate and liaise with internal and external customers across a broad spectrum of government civilians, military members, prime contractors, and supporting contractors.
