Job Description:

This FLIGHT ENGINEER (INSTRUCTOR) position, is located at the Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF), Training Operations Branch and is part of the CA AASF Stockton.
General Experience: Possess experience which has provided the applicant with a knowledge of aircraft weight and balance computations; aircraft performance data; aircraft records maintenance; and aircraft systems FLIGHT ENGINEER (INSTRUCTOR), GS-2185-10: Must have at least 24 months experience providing instruction, evaluation and examination on ground and operational training flights, assessing newly assigned individuals' level of experience and training through review of training records and/or proficiency flight evaluation to determine proficiency and skill status; Schedules and conducts initial, refresher and continuing training, experience with major aircraft systems associated with heavy multiengine aircraft; assesses the flight schedule and coordinates with Crew Chiefs to ensure daily missions are staffed by Crew Chiefs. THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION The primary purpose of the FLIGHT ENGINEER (INSTRUCTOR), GS-2185-10, is to instruct and perform flight crew work supporting heavy multi engine aircraft, and to provide assistance to the pilot in the overall operation of the aircraft. May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance.
