This HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY) position, is located in the personnel and administrative section (S1) of a Brigade/Group/Troop Command and is part of the CA HHD STARC.
General Experience: Possess a valid understanding of the basic principles and concepts of human resources functions and programs. HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY), GS-0201-9: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-07 level, in: serving as an advisor to the commander and staff on the brigade human resources (HR) program; interpreting policy and providing procedural guidance to the commander, staff members, and individual military members; serving as the technical expert on a variety of administrative matters. THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION The primary purpose of the HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY), GS-0201-9, is to serve as the senior personnel NCO and has responsibility for overseeing and ensuring the accomplishment of work performed in the areas of personnel management and administration. May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance.
