Job Description:
You will serve as an INSPECTIONS SPECIALIST in the MARINE CORPS HEADQUARTERS of the DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying expert knowledge of Federal laws (Title 5, 10, and 18), rules of evidence, regulations, and policy to conduct investigations related to fraud, waste, abuse, mismanagement, misconduct, and ethics violations; Experience applying generally accepted inspections principles, techniques, methods, and procedures to conduct investigations; Experience preparing investigative reports of findings for higher level review. You will serve as a Deputy Director and conduct command inspections of active and reserve Marine Corps units.
You will lead the division in all phases of inspection planning and execution and inspect or investigate administrative, personnel, and technical areas on-site.
You will develop inspection teams from Headquarters Marine Corps, training ad hoc team members.
You will analyze trends in inspection results, assisting in efforts to eliminate fraud, waste, and abuse, coordinating follow-up actions, and assessing readiness in peacetime and mobilization.
