You will serve as a CUSTOMER ADVOCATE in the MODERNIZATION & INSTALLATION DEPT N00 of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Although we are moving forward with the consideration of candidates, we will not make a selection for this vacancy announcement unless and until the position is no longer subject to the hiring freeze.
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 (GS-12/13) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing, testing, negotiating, and executing program budgets in support of combat systems and warfare elements to provide technical project management and advocacy in support of the Programs. You will be responsible for interfacing with Program Offices.
You will serve as an authority on the CARRIER/SSDS/CAC2S Program effort.
You will interface with other Warfare Center/Commands in the execution of responsibilities, and teams with other Warfare Center Divisions Customer Advocates to develop Warfare Center-wide Integrated Proposals for submissions to the program sponsor.
You will represent the activity and the Command on committees and groups.
You will address funding, resources and agency policy.
You will be responsible for the overall program definition, organization, and direction including the development of long and short range plans.
