Job Description:
You will serve as a Customer Advocate (Administrative/Technical) in the Modernization and Installation Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-06 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15.
I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level NT-05 (GS-13/14 equivalent) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector evaluating engineering and customer requirements to manage technical projects, develop plans, and coordinate financial management functions for a ship electronics weapons systems program. You will perform financial management and long-range planning.
You will manage tasking and funding for Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) Platforms.
You will be planning, directing, implementing and executing technical programs, policies and management actions relative to the design, test, development, acquisition, and in-service engineering of SSDS, CARRIERS, and CAC2S programs.
You will be providing technical expertise and leadership for development, integration, in-service operations, and leadership to NSWC PHO personnel and support contractors assigned to SSDS, CARRIERS, and CAC2S programs.
You will be providing senior level technical expertise and leadership during the execution of ship integration, integrated logistics and in-service engineering tasking and perform financial management and long-range planning.
You will be monitoring quality of produced deliverables and making decisions on technical and fiscal issues presented by subordinate personnel.
You will be providing project management such as technical review coordination, financial planning, and development of Task Planning Sheets (TPS), Statements of Work (SOWs), and WAAP Packages for SSDS, CARRIERS, and CAC2S programs.
