Job Description:

You will serve as a LEAD HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (OA) in the HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICE, STAFFING AND RECRUITMENT of COMPACFLT HRO SOUTHWEST. $63,203 to $82,170 - Salary for San Diego, CA $55,598 to $72,282 - Salary for Corpus Christi, TX
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector assisting with staffing and recruitment services to provide technical tasks, (e.g., reviewing request for personnel actions for accuracy, resolving discrepancies, reviewing employment eligibility forms, completing missing information and following up on suspense actions, answering employment questions, making job offers, and providing guidance on the use of HR automated systems) in support of the mission of Naval activities and commands. You will distribute and balance the workload among assistants based on their current workload and redistributing workload as needed.
You will communicate assignments/projects, deadlines and timeframes for completion and prioritizing tasks to the team.
You will lead a team in exploring alternatives and determining potential improvements in work processes, methods, and procedures.
You will review personnel action requests for accuracy; resolve discrepancies; complete missing information; and follow-up on suspense actions.
You will determine necessary documents needed to support the transaction and ensure that all supporting documentation required is present, complete and arranged in proper sequence, and necessary steps are taken for subsequent routing and filing.
You will provide merit promotion support services.
You will provide information regarding the Priority Placement Program (PPP) requirements and potential impact on recruitment.
You will provide supervisors and selectees with information on in-processing/on-boarding procedures and requirements.
You will respond to questions regarding the completion of the various employment forms requiring completion before selectees can be entered on duty.
You will coordinate with other HR offices to negotiate release/pick-up dates.
