Job Description:

You will serve as an ENGINEER in the Global Deterrence Defense Department (GX), Strategic Microelectronics Division (GXM), Test Operations Branch (GXMT) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-14 Step 10 (currently $161,889).
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 (GS-12/13 grade equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional Engineer, overseeing the coordination and integration of engineering test and evaluation procedures and requirements to support the design, development, and improvement of electronic or microelectronic systems for the efficiency and effectiveness of a program. You will identify opportunities and propose solutions to increase the automation of data collection and analysis routines for physical and electrical tests.
You will oversee the microelectronic test and evaluation process improvements in the areas of automation, digitization, and calibration for improved technical rigor.
You will identify opportunities and propose solutions to digitize test outputs such that they are compatible with automated reporting and analysis routines and database storage.
You will ensure equipment supporting test and measurement equipment is generating rigorous data and is compliant with Navy requirements.
You will provide subject matter expertise with respect to all standards applicable to the physical test and evaluation of microelectronic components for Strategic applications.
You will liaison with applicable standards bodies, including DLA and JEDEC, to maintain and improve the rigor of standards for physical test and evaluation of microelectronics.
You will lead internal investigations for GXMT specific risk reduction and/or issue resolution and identify physical capital improvement for immediate improvement of test and evaluation capability.
You will regularly interface with GXMS, GXMT, and GXMQ Branch Managers, Principal Engineers, and GXM Chief Engineers to understand technical objectives for the Strategic Microelectronics Division.
