You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ADMINSTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the Global Deterrence Defense Department (GX), Strategic Microelectronics Division (GXM), Radiation Test & Evaluation Branch (GXMR) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-13 and GS-14.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-4 (GS-11/12 grade equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing oversight and direction on the acquisition, development, and testing of radiation producing equipment to plan and execute schedules, strategies, and goals for the success of an organization and producing quality deliverables for customers. You will serve as Branch Manager of Radiation Facilities Operation Branch, in Strategic Microelectronics Division (GXM) provides the space, strategic, and high reliability communities with access to radiation test equipment to meet program needs.
You will be responsible to ensure operations, maintenance, and personnel compliance with RAD-10 requirements for the irradiators, Short Pulse Gamma (SPG), and soon to be delivered Flash X-Ray.
You will be responsible for shipment and receiving of activated components from Neutron testing.
You will be responsible for scheduling Crane internal and external facilities.
You will be responsible for financial tracking of the Service Cost Center that is being established for the Radiation Test Capability within the Branch.
You will be responsible for road mapping of future needs and requirements in order to understand customer needs and ensure progress with the radiation modernization efforts.
You will develop strategies and visions for the Branch to support programs/policies.
You will utilize internal controls, Human Resource Management, goal setting techniques and teambuilding to effectively manage the branch.
You will ensure adherence to compliance areas such as Safety, Environmental, and Security.
You will demonstrate the ability to take reasonable risk and manage conflict.
