Basic Requirement for Supervisory Clinical Psychologist: Degree: Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology. License: This position requires a current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction. In addition to meeting the basic requirements above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing psychological evaluations, developing behavioral health treatment plans, providing psychological counseling services, and providing guidance to developmental behavioral health employees. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Developing Others Psychology Therapy and Counseling Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
Provide professional consultation, advice, and guidance to military and community leaders, social workers, psychiatrists, other physicians, nurses, other hospital personnel, court representatives and educators.
Provide individual, couple, family and/or group psychological counseling utilizing a variety of treatment modalities to adult patients.
Oversee, administer and interpret psychological testing to include maintaining and securing test instruments and raw testing data.
Teaches classes, such as Suicide Prevention, Stress Management, Mental Status Evaluation, and Deployment Briefings.
Supervise military personnel, federal civilian employees, and contractor performance assigned to the Behavioral Health clinic.
Provide technical and administrative guidance to manage workloads and ensure timeliness and accuracy of subordinate work.
