Job Description:

You will serve as a GENERAL ENGINEER in the IN-SERVICE SUPPORTC CENTER of FLTREADCEN EAST.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Providing day-to-day technical oversight to subordinate level engineers and related technical support personnel and managing the requirements for qualified personnel, processes, and facilities; (2) Determining the best approach to resolve complex technical engineering problems and identifying programmatic constraints involved with each problem and developing the solution considering all relative factors; (3) Investigating and researching the applicability of modifications for programs and ensuring industrial planning and support of platform systems, components, and field work/maintenance is accomplished; (4) Analyzing and recommending adjustments to specified service life intervals for aircraft/weapons and equipment while monitoring performance of engineering technical analyses, engineering investigations, economic analyses, and other support services provided directly to the operational community; and (5) Preparing correspondence, technical reports, and instructions for submittal to leadership, other activities, and contractors as may be required to answer inquiries, relay or request information, and establish work assignments. You will develop engineering project goals, objectives or requirements to support short or long-term performance, operational or systems introduction requirements.
You will discuss technical cooperative efforts with contacts outside of the organization to improve project logistics.
You will solve novel and complex aircraft weapon system problems by adapting to or developing new approaches by using state of the art technology.
You will write technical reports to identify project resources requirements.
