Job Description:
You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the SPPORT SERVICES AND PLANNING DIVISION/SECURITY BRANCH of NAV ORD TEST UNIT.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or NH-02 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: executing program management, conducting security vulnerability assessments or evaluation of organization policy, regulations or systems for compliance with a security program. You will be responsible for applying the requirements of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), as they pertain to the SSP and NOTU Security Programs.
You will staff and prepare correspondence regarding the contractor requests for retention or transfer of accountability of classified material generated under current contracts.
You will review, staff, and process contractor security violations to determine extent of damage to our National Security and possible downgrading of classified material that was possibly compromised.
You will execute, identify and manage dynamic program needs to ensure appropriate security requirements are implemented to protect all NOTU/SSP assets (people, information and material) and primary mission is executed.
You will perform security work concerned with the physical protection of SSP classified and other materials/information.
You will establish and maintain a program for controlled area monitoring, periodic alarm maintenance, testing and support for external monitoring and/or response personnel.
You will conduct the inspection of facilities where classified material will be located, ascertain how it will be protected, and the type of storage facilities needed.
You will determine the degree of accessibility to the locations, determines the number and kinds of safes, alarms, locks, fences, markings, etc., needed.
You will lay out restricted areas; sets up personnel circulation control and access systems; and develops procedures for movement and handling of classified material.
You will perform financial work concerned with the execution of all security budget requirements.
