About the position: This position will be assigned to the Ft. Richardson Community Services Flights on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, AK. Regular Part-Time employees have a regular and continuous work schedule of at least 20 hours to a maximum of 40 hours per week. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Practical knowledge of graphic art, color coordination, and artistic skills desired. Ability to safeguard and handle cash. Requires flexibility and versatility. Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing, minor cuts and scrapes. Must have knowledge of basic computer operations. Must be physically able to lift and carry items up to and including 35 pounds. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical and National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
Works in framing, engraving, multi-crafts. Conducts inventory, ensuring pricing is accurate and current. Stocks shelves and displays merchandise. Completes customer work orders in sufficient detail to preclude any errors. Provides accurate price quotes of materials required to complete projects. Performs over the counter work selling resale items. Cleans equipment and work area to ensure a safe working environment. Operates a cash register, maintains various routine administrative and operating forms, records and bank deposits. Responsible for closing out at the end of scheduled shift.
