Experience: You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Identifying new recruitment sources and conducting outreach to brand the agency/organization and promote career opportunities. Providing technical information to the public and representing the agency at conferences, conventions, professional organizations, job fairs, and other recruitment events. Assisting in the development of initiatives, policies, procedures, and programs to solve problems and improve recruitment operations. Leveraging recruitment and candidate sourcing partnerships across an agency/organization, the federal government, military installations, and the academic community to meet strategic recruitment objectives. Making recommendations and creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve internal processes. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must: Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process; and Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 05/13/2025. In this position, you will serve as a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist (Recruitment) in the National Recruitment Division and will be responsible for providing direct support on human capital recruitment programs, outreach, initiatives, goals, and related talent acquisition services to enhance the CBP mission. This position starts at a salary of $105,383.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $137,000.00 (GS-13, Step 10). Salary: Salary listed reflects the rest of U.S. scale and, if applicable, will be adjusted to meet the locality pay or cost of living expenses of the duty location upon selection. Typical Duties include: Providing technical and administrative supervision to the team. Advising on recruitment strategy and plans for CBP hiring. Collaborating with program office/subject matter experts (SMEs) for joint and/or individual attendance at job fairs, college recruitment fairs, conferences, and annual professional meetings. Developing initiatives, policies, procedures, and programs to solve problems and improve recruitment operations. Providing advice and assistance to HRM personnel and headquarters/field-level management on issues related to nationwide recruitment efforts, projects, and initiatives.
