You will serve as an ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC WORK LEADER in the SHIP CONTROL/INTERIOR COMMUNICATIONS/TACTICAL NAVIGATION SHOP (CODE 732/SHOP 51C, ELECTRONICS REPAIR DIVISION (CODE 730), WEAPONS REPAIR DEPARTMENT (CODE 700) of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO LEAD OR SUPERVISE. The ability to do the work of an Electronic Integrated Systems Mechanic Work Leader with the ability to lead or supervise such as assigning, directing, and reviewing the work of subordinates and evaluate their work performance. Planning, scheduling, and coordinating work operations while solving problems related to the work supervised. Determining material, equipment, and facilities needed while performing a wide variety of other technical and administrative duties required in carrying out responsibilities. Having thorough knowledge of the application of electronic theories and practices to one or more complex integrated system(s) such as Ship's Control, Ship's Control Station, Tactical Navigation and Ship's Monitoring Systems. Serving as the shop technical authority for testing, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, rebuilding, installing, modifying, aligning, and calibrating complex integrated electronic systems. You will pass on instructions received from supervisor to other shop workers.
You will answer worker questions on procedures, policies, written instructions, and other directives such as automated work requests.
You will check work while in progress and when finished to ensure the supervisor’s instructions on work sequences, procedures, methods, and deadlines are met.
You will troubleshoot, overhaul, repair, modify, adjust, align, test, and certify electronic, electrical and mechanical instruments and equipment.
You will perform routine maintenance specified by the equipment manufacturer, maintenance requirement procedures, or shipboard maintenance requirement cards.
You will operate individual subsystems of the integrated system to run required diagnostic checks and routines.
