Minimum Qualifications: Experience that demonstrates the ability and skill to perform the duties described above using the theories, principles, practices and techniques of at least two or more NAF contracting functional areas. Knowledge of objectives, principles, and procedures of NAF Purchasing to include related automation systems (SNACS, PRISM, and CARE). Skill in communicating orally and in writing. Must possess either a bachelor's degree OR have completed at least 24 semester hours of coursework in any combination of certain business-related fields (accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management). Best Qualified Criteria: Possess one (1) year working experience as a Contracting Officer Representative (COR). The information provided on your resume should be clear and specific. Acts as the liaison working closely with the GVMP Management and the centralized Ft Sam Houston NAF Contracting office to provide NAF purchasing and contract management support.
Utilizes knowledge of procurement policies and procedures to plan, analyze, evaluate, and/or audit procurement programs. Periodically reviews overall program for compliance with regulatory control and overall effectiveness.
Generates reports, provides technical assistance, and conducts training to improve acquisition practices.
May write requests of NAF Contracting support, statements of work for proposed contracts, and / or serve as technical evaluator for offeror’s proposals.
Serves as the primary Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for NAF veterinary support contracts.
