The selectee for this position will serve as an Administrative Officer in the Navy Supply Corps School of NSCS. The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Although we are moving forward with the consideration of candidates, we will not make a selection for this vacancy announcement unless and until the position is no longer subject to the hiring freeze.
In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following performing the following duties: 1) Serve as a principal advisor and point of contact on matters pertaining to administration and paperwork management for a department; 2) Developing procedures, policies and standards, and issuing special instructions to an administration staff for accomplishing work of a non-routine nature and review work performance to ensure that it meets satisfactory standards; 3) Conducting onsite reviews of organizational administrative management programs to evaluate compliance with laws, regulations, policy, and adequacy of supporting documentation for proposed administrative actions and effectiveness of programs in support of an organization mission requirements; 4) Provide supervisory leadership necessary to maintain an effective and productive work force and ensure a continuous flow and exchange of information between employees. You will direct administrative and support functions of the organization in support of the planning, development, and execution of goals and objectives.
You will provide management of organizational processes, programs, and initiatives to include civilian personnel, internal administrative procedures, statistics, correspondence, command reports, printing, and scheduling.
You will research, originate, and edit correspondence for review and signature, and review logs for outgoing correspondence and directives for compliance with policy and regulations.
You will serve as the Command Official Mail and Records Manager/Coordinator.
You will manage and perform functions of Command Pay and Personnel Administration and Sales.
You will perform Military personnel services i.e. (fitness reports, mid-term counseling reports, process leave request and pay/record issues, release message traffic, maintain personnel rosters and review manpower documents).
