Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band (NH-03) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer providing technical oversight and direction in the areas of production engineering, contract oversight, and/or technical management evaluation in order to assess and plan innovative engineering technologies, methods, and approaches for systems engineering projects and programs. You will provide special technical expertise and leadership in complex coordination and management of all contractor engineering and product assurance efforts.
You will oversee a geographically diverse team of engineers who influence, lead, monitor, and approve contractor design and product quality assurance efforts in satisfying contractual requirements for various contract deliverables.
You will ensure that configuration control of guidance systems is in compliance with the approved Configuration Management processes.
You will supervise and implement program policy, engineering criteria, and provide information to the prime contractor and SP Headquarters.
You will represent the command in assigned areas of responsibility when interfacing with headquarters, field activities, fleet representatives, contractors, and consultants.
You will manage relationships with contractor partners to ensure successful collaboration and communication for both new development systems and sustainment of current systems.
You will monitor and brief the production status of all guidance system components to leadership on a periodic basis.
You will attend program level meetings and actively engage with the prime contractor on a regular and routine basis.
You will provide inputs to command level briefings and reports on a periodic basis.
You will mentor and coach junior engineers in the effective execution of both sustainment and new development program management.
You will drive investigations of Fleet issues to closure in lock step with the prime contractor.
You will conduct site visits of various suppliers on a periodic basis.
