Job Description:

You will serve as an ENGINEER in the Spectrum Warfare Department (WX), Electromagnetic Warfare S&T Division (WXV) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-14/15.
In addition to the basic education requirements, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 (GS-12/13) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer, leading in the development of technical Electronic Warfare projects for operational readiness in alignment with mission requirements. You will direct and oversee the development/advancement and implementation of technology solution sets that will provide a modern, practical, and fieldable alternative toward spectrum dominance.
You will leverage the latest advancements in mission engineering, autonomy, digital signing processing (DSP), field programmable gate array (FPGA), and Software Defined Radio (SDR) technologies.
You will serve as a recognized expert and technical authority whose ideas form a basis for research or development ideas by others.
You will conceive, plan, and conduct pioneering work of outstanding scope, difficulty, and complexity in unexplored or heretofore unpromising areas of investigation.
You will establish relationships and routinely interact and support related projects and activities particularly in the area of applied research.
