Customer Service - Developing and maintaining relationships with customers, anticipating and assessing the current and future information technology needs of customers, and developing or identifying information technology products or services that are tailored to meet customer needs. Oral Communication - Briefing senior-level management and IT staff on the status of information technology systems, projects, or daily operations, including the communication of complex technical information to a non-technical audience. Problem Solving - Identifying alternatives to address unique, highly complex, or sensitive information technology-related issues. I have anticipated information technology-related problems and have identified and evaluated potential sources of information to generate alternative solutions. Qualifying Experience: To qualify at the GG-14, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Providing technical and analytical advice on information management issues, such as acquisition, management, protection, or use of information systems and overseeing IT contract support, developing technical specifications for solicitations, and providing guidance on security programs to ensure compliance with agency directives and safeguarding critical assets. Serves as the principal IT specialist with responsibility for providing expert technical and analytical advice to the Pentagon Force Protection Agency Chief Information Officer (CIO).
Provides for the effective and efficient acquisition, management, protection, and use of information and information systems.
Serves as the senior IT systems expert for security communication and chemical, biological, and nuclear (CBRN) system.
Identifies, researches, and develops strategies for the acquisition of system software products, systems maintenance, and software support services to satisfy established life safety and security system.
Develops specifications and provisions for technical advice to the Contract Officer Representative or Contract Officer Technical Representative (COTR) or perform duties of the COTR.
Assesses plans, procedures, and application of information systems hardware, system software, overall system design techniques, and data communications.
Analyzes capabilities of the systems concerned, and the state of the art in secure systems technologies, to include specific system vulnerabilities.
