You will serve as a MANAGER in the Weapons Systems Division (JXN), Airborne Crew-Served Weapons Branch (JXNV) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-14 Step 10 (currently $161,889). The ND-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15.
In addition to basic education requirements, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower band, ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer or scientist, leading the development, planning or execution of engineering projects, programs or initiatives for weapons system programs. You will serve as a Manager, tasked with advanced scientific and/or engineering projects, programs and initiatives.
You will provide supervisory administrative and technical oversight for workforce development, execution of workload, and supporting assigned customers.
You will plan, distribute, coordinate, and monitor work assignments; evaluate work performance and provide feedback; ensure employees are appropriately selected, utilized, and developed, and treated in a fair and equitable manner.
You will identify solutions and provide guidance and advice to subordinates and to other supervisors and managers.
You will develop and implement long and short term planning for required funding, human resources, facilities and equipment.
You will develop and implement the organization's project and programmatic policies and procedures, and determine criteria for assessing program effectiveness.
