About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Outdoor Adventure Center, Beale AFB, CA. This is a drug tested position.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have responsible applicable experience to competently and independently carry out continuing outdoor recreation projects or programs through proper application of the principles, concepts and techniques of recreation to the specific needs of the community or progressively responsible administrative, professional technical or other work which has provided a general knowledge of management principles and practices. This experience may have been gained in the operation or management of a civilian or military position. Must have experience in resale operations, inventory control, marketing and advertising, facility management practices. Must have experience with tools, equipment and resources used to maintain and issue all types of recreational and rental equipment items. Must be able to lift 40 lbs. on own and over 40 lbs with assistance. Must be able to complete a National Agency Check. This is a drug testing position.
Plans, manages, develops and evaluates a diverse year round recreation/adventure program for the community. Involving organizing, publicizing and administering a wide range of activities, operations, trips tours such as outdoor adventure programs, two recreational swimming pools, A Rod & Gun Club/Food service operation, a 44 space military Family Campground, a multi purpose recreational facility, equipment loan/rental operation and the base vehicle resale lot, ITT ticket, travel and tour office, equipment supply and resale operation. Determines the need for, selects plans, promotes and coordinates a diverse offering of activities, trips, tours and services throughout the spectrum of outdoor recreational facilities and services. Plans coordinates and implements the details of recurring and non-recurring activities, special events and community undertakings, staffing, supplies and equipment are available. Coordinates activities with on-base and off-base resources which are consistent with the military morale and mission. Schedules and publicizes outdoor recreation activities and services ensuring maximum effectiveness in attracting and motivating participants in terms of community needs and interests. Insures safe operation of muliple shooting/archery events, leagues. Manages efficient controls over Food and Beverage operation, Federal Firearms programs and gun resale operations. Operates a responsive equipment loan operation and rental operation; coordinates outdoor activities with other speciality areas of the program, develops periodic program plans and annual activity budget requirements and makes all necessary reports to the installation NAFFA when required. Accounts for all funds and transactions; maintains financial audit trail accounts and develops, submits, revises quarterly as needed. Evaluates all APF/NAF budgets; manages all resale operations; maintains property records, works with CE to resolve real property work orders. Manages and secures all property with accurate records and values, maintains supply items and accounts for all records. Supervises employees, schedules work, develops performance standards, appraises performance, provides accurate factual feedback to all staff, provides counseling and disciplinary actions. Interviews, selects and trains all assigned personnel, volunteers assigned to the OAC program. Consults with marketing/other base agencies to promote programs dealing with the outdoor adventure/Rod & Gun programs.
